SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION FOR BEGINNERS
I often get asked if I know any “tricks” or ways to improve search engine rankings. I ask the person to let me look at their website and see what has been done from an SEO point of view. It doesn’t surprise me but I see a lot of title tags as “Index” or “Home”. My response is usually “have you read Google’s Search Engine Optimization Starter Guide?” 9 out of 10 people will respond “what’s that?”
It’s no secret, search engine companies like Google want to show you the proper techniques so you can optimize your website correctly. Google has put out a great SEO starter guide that helps new webmasters and site owners understand the basics of Search Engine Optimization. I figured I would share this since their is still a lot of people who have never heard of Google’s SEO Starter Guide or have no clue on the basics of SEO. This guide is just scratching the surface, their is a lot to learn but It’s a great starting point.
