IS MARKETING NEGATIVE FEEDBACK GOOD?
I love marketing, it makes people think outside the box to come out with creative ways to get your ideas across. Whether it’s selling a product or service, having a proper marketing plan is key to success. Which is what Domino’s Pizza has done with their latest marketing campaigns.
I’ve been to websites where all you see is positive feedback and only 5 star reviews on how great a product or service is. There is no doubt that small and large corporations filter negative feedback from actually making it to their website. However, Domino’s Pizza thinks otherwise.
In recent TV commercials Domino’s Pizza shows that they has taken the negative comments of what people have said about their pizza. Later to revisit with the same customers to show them how the taste and quality of their pizza’s have improved.
Specially with food products, you normally only get one opportunity. If you ever go to a restaurant for the first time and the quality of food is poor, there is an 80% chance you will not return. Whether it was the chefs fault, bad food or whatever the reason you have lost that opportunity. I think Domino’s Pizza’s new approach is genius into letting customers know that they listen and are willing to make it right.
Showing customers that your open to negative feedback and are willing to make things right shows your not “fake” or hiding behind a computer. Negative feedback can be a good thing, it makes you aware of what you need to improve to make your product or service better. Next time, rather then deleting a negative comment or post show the world your open to criticism good or bad. Marketing negative feedback about your company may not be a bad idea after all.
