I meet new people every week, and one thing I notice is the amount of people that are still using AOL, Yahoo, Gmail and Hotmail (Live) as their E-mail service.  Having an E-mail @yourdomain.com is very important and professional too, specially if your company is providing premium services.

Let me give you an example of a situation. If someone had a really bad experience with AOL and your E-mail happens to be your name@aol.com subconsciously they are associating you with AOL and you could be losing a sale.  Having the @yourdomain.com is not only easier to remember the name of your company, It also helps your company’s with brand recognition specially when your constantly Emailing someone.   Imagine if you meet the owner of Dell, he hands you his business card and his Email was michael@hotmail.com, It doesn’t have the same effect as michael@dell.com.  When people see your E-mail as your name@yourdomain.com it definitely makes a big difference in your company and professionalism.
